Popular Post SirVantes
Vitola: Hermosos No.4 / 48 x 127 Box Code: ULE JUL 14 Pre-light: Silky wrapper, with a slight musky, feral aroma. Cold draw was clean tobacco; a little easier than I'd like. 1st third: Right from the first draws, I'm getting Swiss roll, the sugar-coated ones. Sweet, dense, mouth-coating smoke. A little nuttiness on the retrohale. I find myself wanting to chew the smoke. Very nice start. 2nd third: Good burn. More pronounced chocolatey nuttiness now. It's Nutella! The sweetness now has a slight tang to it, reminding me of grape jelly, which comes and goes, and keeps me guessing. Solid medium body. Last third: The sweetness has melded nicely with the darker choc nut flavours. Smoking past the band, I get cookie dough. Burn has been straight and true throughout, and despite the easy draw there was no harshness towards the end. Ends medium-bodied. Final notes: I'm tickled by the associations with all those fattening, tooth-rotting things that I haven't had for ages, but evidently remember fondly. A thoroughly enjoyable smoke for me. Score: 93 Smoking time: 1 hr 35 min Ambient humidity: 78% - 82%
