Colt45 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 We've had discussions re cars, sports cars, dented cars, etc. My very first car was a 1972 dodge Challenger (with a '70 front end). Nothing special - 318 2v, but I had a lot of fun with the beast. I bought new a 1987 Mazda RX7 sport package - not the fastest, but super balanced, and handling..... incredible. So, I do not have a custom or hot rod - but if I did / could - off the top of my head.... 1965 Buick Riviera GS 1970 Plymouth GTX (440 six pack, air grabber) 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback (smallblock 427?) There are a zillion I'd love - these are, again, off the top...
BuzzArd Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Have all I want. If I had more my wife would replace me. And with old cars comes.... Bills for parts and more time than exists for maintenance. With bills comes less cigar $$ sad days indeed.
zappaFREAK Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I feel your pain! I have been looking for a show/fun car for several years. My main issue is that I cannot come to terms with which car. I have a 2010 Bmw m6 convertible which I bought new and love. This was the last of the v10s. I have owned many Bmws including my first which was a 1968 1600, essentially a 2002 but a smaller engine. I like the 3.0s but wanted something unique. A lead sled I fell in love with on eBay was a Cadillac lasalle which did not sell. For or a while I was looking at a 67 gto. Then mopars. My 1st love was the batmobile and have considered that. Still no answers. Hopefully this is the year.
HoyoFan Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I am still waiting for the day when I can afford to purchase an early 70s 911.... sigh

The 1600 / 2002s are great, and the 3.0 might just be my favorite BMW. The '67 Goat? - awesome. When I was a kid, some of the older guys in the neighborhood had '68 & '69 Geetos - coupes and convertibles. There were a couple of '68 Firebirds (400s), and an early '70s 383 'Cuda - that was a beast. Pontiac Gran Sport 455, Plymouth Duster 340, Buick GS, etc...... 20 minutes ago, PadronFan said: I am still waiting for the day when I can afford to purchase an early 70s 911.... sigh Years back, I had the good fortune to be able to drive an early '70s 914/6 with a built S motor, and a '75 930......
