This robusto gorda has a bright colorado wrapper, with few distinguishing characteristics, except for minor cosmetic flaws. It lights easily and produces lots of cool smoke; the draw is noticeably loose. The burn is even, and the ash is flaky white/gray. Right away, classic Hoyo flavors are apparent - toasted cedar and nuts.

The aroma has just a bit of baking spice, which develops a citrus note later in the first half. The second half reveals very sharp citrus spice that recurs in the aroma, and finishes with burnt caramel note. Reminiscent of vintage Epicure No. 2s.
