Mocha wrapper with prominent veins, a fine sheen and some compression marks near the foot. Lightly pressed. Starts off mild with medium smoke, a somewhat firm draw and earthy graham cracker aroma. Early flavor has woody and earthy notes. Dry, even burn produces a flaky, rough, gray ash.

The second third reveals this cigar's potential as it develops a gorgeous spicy, floral aroma that grows in strength and prominence. Quintessential Hoyo citrus spice notes develop. Smokes cool well past the band.

Would pair well with a rich, oily coffee. This box has been plagued with construction problems - bad combustion, plugs, tunneling. My hope is that with time in the humidor to age, this will turn into a spectacular Prominente.
