Has anyone smoked one of these recently? I have yet to sample any from my jar and was wondering how these were aging in the porcelain.

November was the last one I had and they are coming along nicely.

Don't fret over jar ageing. My Partagas P1 are still some of the finest smoking cigars I own and they haven't left the jar. Mind you, the Jar is in a humidor.

Yeah I leave it in my cabinet. As glorious as that jar is to look at it sure is an inefficient as far as maximizing space goes.

Do you thing these still have more potential? Or are they at their peak now?

I see a lot to go in them. By a lot I mean another 3 years or so.

Is it worth it to get a jar of Partagas P1's? Really considering it and seeing the success of aging them in the jars I am now seriously considering it.

Good point. I forget not everyone is on a CC island. I don't know anyone that collects yet alone even smokes regularly so if I don't know of a vendor who has it it doesn't exist to me haha

I'm in no position to comment on LGC Deliciosos bc I've never sampled one, but I did have a Monte 80th and I still can't stop thinking about it...they're stunning.

Smoked a LGC-D from jar  last Friday and it was a good smoke, Honey and light wood, with at end also a hit of power similar to a LGC-4.

Buy if you cam!

I also had the Monte 80th and it was brilliant. For the last month I have been thinking almost exclusively about the Cohiba Lancero and the Monte 80th. I agree, stunning cigar, perfect construction, beautiful sheen... just brilliant lad! I actually made a post on one of the chats ranting and raving about the 80th not too long ago. Just talking about it makes me want one! Cheers lad.

Smoked a Deliciosos last week and it was a tent peg.  ...completely plugged.  I would have tossed it if it was regular production.  It was a lot of work to get any smoke out of and generally not a good experience, as anyone who's smoked a plugged cigar knows.
