stinkhead Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Has anyone here attempted to build there own cigar box?? I have a bundle of customs and want to build a box for them before throwing them in the aristocratic. Not sure if there is anything to make sure to avoid when attempting this and am looking for any potential advice.
CaptainQuintero Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 I made a SLB for custom lonsdales from a few old dress boxes, just strip away the paper, sanded them then nailed together with tacks. I'd say avoid glue, apart from that fill your boots

No it was fine once the paper had been removed. Cuban SLBs are only thin plywood nowadays anyway, the days of solid ceder boxes are long gone sadly. Ironically the new Davidoff NC SLBs are solid ceder wood construction!
