Blackham Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 In my previous trip to Cuba I took a shared minivan from Trinidad to Havana, size of the van was like a Sprinter that carries around 10 passengers. It cost the approx. same as a Viazul/Transtur ride(20-25CUC), but it is a 4-hour ride as opposed to 6.5 hrs on a Viazul, the shared van also picked me up in front of my casa particular as a bonus. Fast forward to today I wanted to use the same service for my trip from Havana <-> Trinidad, I tried googling it but nothing comes up. Do any of you travel expert know what this service is called and where I can obtain such service in Havana? Even a name for this service would help, so I can google more about it. P.S. Will be in Havana on the 20th, and 24th - 26th, if anyone is there during that time we can definitely meet up for a cigar.
Bulldog4 Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Was the shared minivan organized by your casa owner? I know when I was in Trinidad our owner organized our ride to havana and the next day a car showed up with 3 other people heading to havana as well it was same price as viazul.. I haven't heard of any other ride programs other then viazul and with the Cuban government i would be surprised if there was. Also bonus tip you can head to the viazul bus stop and ask for a cab instead they will fill up the cab with other people and it's only usually 5$ per individual more then the viazul but you get dropped right at your casa/hotel 1
