Punch Punch:BUA MAR12: VR&C&P&SP Review Comp 2016

I received this cigar from a swap with a member here. I had one Punch punch tubo prior to this one and well...it wasn't my favorite so I figured I would give it a few more shots.

Aroma at Cold: Barnyard and sweet tobacco.

Cold Draw: Perfect draw with a touch of spice.

1st 3rd: Sweet, spiced cream with cedar primarily. Mild to medium body. Picking up some tannins and the flavors seem a bit muted to me. The burn is perfect!

2nd 3rd: More of the same with the addition of hints of espresso and leather. Flavors still seem muted, almost chalky and no flavor lingers on the pallette.

Final 3rd: Any hint of sweetness is long gone but the spiced cream, leather and espresso still remain. The cigar has finally moved up to med. But to me, this cigar just lacks the "punch" to bring those flavors home. Maybe it is just a little to light for my tastes.

Great review. Kind of a bummer that it didn't really do it for you. The only Cuban Punch I've had was the DC, and I thought it was excellent.

Nice review.  I've always found the Punch Punch a little underwhelming for my tastes as well, although I had one from 2016 earlier this year that was absolutely fantastic.
