SinfullyPatient
Well, it happened. Bought my Whynter 251 August 31st and.....its full. That didn't take long. The thing has worked like a champ and now I'm after a much larger version. Below are the details, if any of you can see any issues that may arise can you please point them out? Thanks for the help Model: Danby 75 Bottle - https://www.amazon.com/Danby-Designer-Bottle-Freestanding-Cooler/dp/B00F92OKXM/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 Temperature Goal: 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit in a climate that fluctuates from a low of 50 to a high of 80 (thank you Santa Monica, CA) RH Goal: 62-67, haven't decided which humidification device to go with yet, I currently have 2lbs of HF beads, but I may go another route for ease of use.
el chino
Awesome, looking forward to hear about your project! I'm feel you on the smaller units. I just bought a Newair CC-300 last week. After I put 3 boxes of 25 in, I had this strange feeling it was going to be too small... I saw this on the local CL I was looking at this https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ppd/5866048920.html DWC140D1BSSPR . So I understand where your going with this. Yes, I'm here in Torrance/Redondo and we are 65-80. Just ordered this small fan https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NQLT0M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to experiment with on the CC-300 just to help with air movement. This is the only issue I can see as the unit is long and will need movement to keep the temp & RH consistently equal throughout the unit. I'll keep you posted with what I come up with. Have you guys found anyone that can make your shelves/boxes locally (Los Angeles)?
James4226c
I've been rocking a 35 bottle Frigidair for a little over 5 years now and just filled it up. Really curious to see how things go with your 75 bottle setup I got my controller set at 59F (which keeps conditions in my boxes at 63-65F).
