zeedubbya Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I want to make this review a little different. My opinions on the cigar overall. PLPC is my favorite go to cigar right now. I have some aged and some younger. This one is still on the younger side. The best description I can give is this one is a woody, sweet, dense, gravelly, nutty, slightly peppery, toasted tobacco delicious smoke. Not a huge amount of transition but it's so damn good I wouldn't want it to. The aged ones (5 years plus) I have had recently are a WOW revelation of creamy, salty, slightly sour caramel, with a smooth toasted tobacco spine. As some of you may have read before I smoked cigars for about 8 years before taking a 4 year hiatus and selling off my stock. Dove back into it about 3 years ago. The PLPC is a cigar I never had prior experience with. But it's been a real revelation. To me these are just about perfect. If you haven't bought a Cab get it done ASAP. Just a fantastic cigar, and an incredible value! I am sure like me you will find yourself reaching for them more than anything else. 2
Cmelle Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Never had one of these. I have 2 in my humidor for about 2 weeks now that i received from the robs rotation sampler. I'm dying to light one up and try one. I'm guessing that they would be young though.
TheMonk Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Well done! I agree, the PLPC seems to be a safe bet, although IMO they do need quite a bit of age (like 5+ years) to really shine.
