schubb Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 The du Prince have become my go to petit corona when I want a lighter, sweeter profile than I get from BPC, HUPC, or even the young RGPCs I have. I enjoy the change of pace from the more full flavors of those other petit coronas. I love petit coronas for the value, and the ~hour smoke time works well in the mornings or when I can’t sit down long enough for a larger cigar. This came from a hand-picked box from the 24:24, and this box has been excellent every time. Start 9:55am paired with a cup of coffee 1st third: Excellent draw. Light and creamy with some vanilla. Under medium body at this point. 2nd third: Body picked up a bit in the middle, coming closer to medium. Cream and vanilla joined by a bit of cedar. Final third: Cedar takes over with some cream in the background. Construction has been excellent. End 11:13am Once again, an excellent du Prince. Couldn’t ask for better construction, especially out of Cuba. I enjoy them where they are now, but I’m tempted to get another box to lay down for a bit just to let the creaminess build more while I smoke through the rest of this box. Great cigar. Thanks for the competition! 1
