Hello Everyone,

I first developed the taste for Cuban cigars in the 90's when I lived in Amsterdam, within a short walk from an amazing cigar store. After several moves, lots of business travel, and dealing with an aging parent, I have been smoking less and less. I did manage to keep a humidor alive and some nice sticks going for special occasions. Until I discovered Boveda, keeping a humidor humid in the desert where I now live was also a bit tricky. Now I have my humidors refreshed, a couple of tupperdors ready, and am jumping back into the hobby. I look forward to exploring some new smokes, as well as old favorites.

I plan to post little, read a lot, and learn even more from the very knowledgable people on this forum. I appreciate the wealth of information available here, and am grateful to everyone for sharing it so freely.

Thanks! Monk I see you're in Portugal. I've been to the Algarve coast a couple of times and absolutely love it. I hope to get back sooner rather than later.

I see that shaving brush AV. I am also a die hard wet shaver. As I was thinking of buying some cigars this morning, I remembered how much I spent on soaps, cremes and straight razors when I first got into it. Nothing like starting the day with a cold steel blade against your face, lol.

Algarve is pretty nice in the summer, although TBH I haven't been to Algarve for years!

I'm also a die hard wetshaver, have been for a few years now... Probably spent more in wetshaving gear then cigars, at least thus far!

And I have a humble shaving brush collection as well, the one in my profile pic was my first one, a Semogue LE from 2011.
