BuzzArd Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Howdy all. Been a long time lurker here, but jumped in this afternoon. Have always enjoyed the information on the forum. So much knowledge...! I have been enjoying cigars off and on for 20 years. One thing amazes me; How you all can taste so many different things in a cigar! About all my head knows is if my palate likes it or not, and I guess that's good enough for me. Heck, it's worked for two decades....
planetary Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Welcome! Like you, I find that my default way of experiencing a cigar is to know whether I am enjoying the zeitgeist, or not. I need to bend my attention to the flavors and aromas in order to pick up anything specific. I don't think I'll ever pick up things like "jasmine tea with a hint of sandalwood" though! (And I'd prefer to avoid "old lady's handbag" which @Ken Gargett is so fond of...) 1
