Gunson Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I'm very surprised by this win. It really seemed like GSW were gonna roll right over them.
demer Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 You know ESPN is going to do a 30 for 30 documentary for this series. The way it played out was tailor made for them. 1
Orion21 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I honestly don't know what happened to the GSW. This was an historic meltdown losing the last three games of the series. Props to Lebron James and Kyrie Irving for their outstanding series. The last two games, especially, just goes to show how physically superior Lebron is to every other player on the court. Never have I seen a guy chase down more breakaway transition layups and block the shot, then facilitate a basket on the other end. Even after 13 years in the league he looks like the most athletic guy in the building. He cemented himself as one of the top 3 players ever. 2

planetary Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 *necro post* A year later, the 2017 finals have a very different look... with scores to justify benchwarmers getting play time. @JohnInCleveland might not be smoking a Behike this June. 1
Memphsdad Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 GSW to win championship, we were robbed last year.We weren't robbed, we handed it away. The Green suspension was ridiculous, but he should have kept his attitude in check. Id say Dray got robbed and punked by LeBron! He didn't get robbed or punked. If anything LeBron got punked, but he won in the end so it goes unnoticed.
Dimmers Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 pretty much sums up proceedings right now - http://www.sbnation.com/2017/6/4/15736826/cavaliers-offense-nba-finals-2017-throw-it-away-seriously

Go figure, take a team that set the record for wins and add Kevin Durant and stare in amazement that it's lopsided. As a fan of the sport, it doesn't even seem fair to have the amount of talent that Golden state has amassed. I don't think it's ever happened.
TNT009 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Its fair, the league denied CP3's bid to go to Lakers.. Cant blame KD, who wants to be like Barkley, Ewing or Malone. They let these go through with the CBA so its game on.
kuma Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 This is Golden States year. With addition of KD they should be able to get this done. Almost did it last year without KD one game away or one shot! Golden I think is a much deeper team. Le Barone needs more help than they can (team mates) can give. Fun to watch these series. Reg. season is kind of a bore much to long like american baseball.
TNT009 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Me and a friend have this argument monthly...... Have the hardware(ring) or be in the Hall of Fame- NBA, NFL, MLB, Soccer.. If you go with the ring and you're a bench player, is not that worthy.. But, no ring, but HOF is forever!
brutusthebuckeye Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 NBA is tuurible.. Hopefully one day soon they go back to showing the games on tape delay at midnight like in the early 80's before Tragic n Bird brought it back Go Tribe... 1

You guys still accepted him back happily after that abandonment lol.Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk 2

Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk That's not a great comparison bc Miami wasn't even good when he went there. He didn't join the team that stood between him and a championship the year before. Miami didn't even win 50 games. Golden state was already a champion without Durant and easily could've won back to back. He's a free agent, he can do whatever he sees fit, it was just cowardly and weak minded. It also made the playoffs entirely unfun for fans. It's bad for the game. I'm not slighting golden state for signing the guy, or their fans, I'd root for them too if they were my team, it's just bad for basketball and Durant's a coward.

LeBron, D Wade, Bosh, and Ray Allen put together their own version of a super team. All because LeBron wanted to win a championship. No, they did not have a winning team the year before, but 3 of the biggest names in basketball at the time simultaneously joined forces to become the most potent threat in the league. I don't think the three of them joining forces or wanting to win a ring was cowardly.I do, however, think that LeBron leaving Cleveland in a public media spotlight and leading on Cleveland fans via 'The Decision' was cowardly. Far more cowardly than KD leaving a city that pissed away his best shot at a championship by refusing to pay Harden.Lebron goes back to Cleveland and all is forgotten. KD makes a move to win a ring and he's a coward. At the end of the day it's easy to paint KD in a bad light, especially if he's on the team that will likely keep your team from winning a championship this year. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Someone dug up my post being happy last year that the Cavs won (it was completely innocuous, I might add) to try and get a rise out of me. Heaven forbid someone support their sports teams. You must be new around here. Great meeting you. It's been a pleasure meeting your acquaintance.

I was just in for healthy discussion. The pleasure is all mine.Btw, I'm a dubs fan but this series is far from over. We were up 3-1 last year and still let it slip away. I'd rather see a good series than a foregone conclusion. Cheers. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

If the Cavs were my team, that victory would live in memory for a good long time!
UnkleBead Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I remember feeing the same way after two games in 2016 that I do now in 2017. I felt Cleveland was going to be lucky to win one game, then they surprised me in 2016 in game 3 and blew the Warriors out by 30(ish). I don't see that happening in 2017. The addition of KD is going to prove to be way too much for Cleveland. They have to play almost a perfect game to even have a shot. 1
TNT009 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Hoping Dubs stay focused and keep it rolling! Almost game time! 1
