Popular Post Drguano Posted April 16, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2016 I should subtitle this as part of my Robusto in Roadster series. As of late, I have been enjoying a good smoke on the 45 minute commute home from the office and this cigar did not disappoint. One of the last four from an excellent box dated RMS FEB 13. The cold draw was rich somewhat circus and grass with a bit of honey. I lit it and enjoyed a few lovely draws before motoring slowly out of the car park. Dense smoke, perfect draw and flavors of leather, bit of spice and lemon. Very tasty. The first mile from the car park to the motorway is through suburban town homes and shopping and top speed is 70 km/hr. The Roadster dawdles in 4th gear. The cockpit is not too breezy with the top down in the hazy sun and 21C. The burn is good and the same flavors prevail. Onto the motorway and I am relaxing and allowing the maniacs to pass as I tool along at 110km/hr. The JL 2 is still producing a lovely thick smoke and the same flavors prevail with a bit of nutmeg coming through the honey and lemon zest. I have been finding, to my surprise that smoking at a fast clip in the drop top seems to enhance the flavors. I am going to have a mate join me and see if he concurs. Holding the stick next the the shifter keeps the burn relatively normal. Heading through the city produces the usual 5:00 pm bottle neck and traffic on the motorway slows to a crawl. This allows me to focus on the second third. Lovely, dense smoke still with maybe a touch of apricot and mango? Very pleasant while slowly allowing 5 lanes of traffic to merge into 2 at 35 km/hr. One thing I have decided, no selfies while driving and smoking. This was taken another day while parked. I arrive home relaxed and in good time and nubbed the JL 2 in the afternoon backyard sun. A relaxing drive and very tasty cigar. The flavors held up. A medium smoke and miles to go. Glad I have another box. 6
