hebbe72 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 In his 15th(!) start in Hell of the North, Paris-Roubaix, Mathew Hayman (Orica Greenedge) takes a sensational win! The most prestigious one day classic goes to Australia. Hats off for this achievement.
rckymtn22 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Great race. Mud, crashes and attacks!Fustrating watching it on a wonky internet site, disappointedit wasn't on live here.
Ralphanator Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I guess I don't need to watch the next 216.3 km. LOL!
Warren Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Ha ha , a friend of mine rode in that. He is an inspiration. He is suffering from Parkinson's but is not letting that stop him.
Ken Gargett Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 shouldn't it be congrats to the rider? not sure the fans had a lot to do with it. i remember as far back as the brizzy commonwealth games, going to some of the cycling. great fun and loved it but sadly, most sports fans i know now just assume the majority of cyclists are drugged to the eyeballs. a shame.
hebbe72 Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 The only difference between cyclists and other athletes is that the cyclists get caught The achievement is none the less remarkable. Hayman has never won anything major. And winning the toughest one day classic on cobble stone, mud and dirt roads is amazing.
