Cuba trip with family

I will be heading to Varadero with my family and the coming weeks and of course looking and bringing back some CC. Will be heading to LCDH at Plaza Americas.

If i cant locate any Excelencia(RE Cuba 15), what do you suggest is producing well that i could bring back. Thinking of bringing back roughly 50 CC back home.

You can get pretty much source everything here hand picked, why not get custom rolls since they are unavailble outside of the Island.

Cutome rolls are mainly in Havana correct?

I wont be going into the city with my daughter, too young for the ride there and to spend the day there.

I was at LCDH Varadero Las Americas a couple weeks back. A couple of boxes I looked at from the stock on the shelves in the display area had several beetle holes and I actually saw one crawling on the top layer. I wish I had snapped a picture but she was quick to put them away. Inspect anything before you buy there. She went into the back humidor area and found me a box of stellar looking HU2 and Dip2's however.

Thanks for that. When i went last year around the same time i got a box of RASS and BRC and i asked the lady to open it before and all was good. Plan on doing the same again this time around. Just not sure what to grab yet.

You can have customs in varadero. theres a guy sitting outside the casa rolling, his name is Alphonso - a nice guy making nice, very well priced cigars. While they a good cigars, I would still consider getting some trinidad vigias, RA superiores and Royal robustos as well, as they're a good buy on cuba. Find it usefull to know the official prices of the cigars that you want - yet I did pay overprice in the varadero casas
