earthson Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 A petit corona is a medium-thick cigar for me for a CC. Rarely go above 50 NC. Give me PL Monte Carlos and various Fuente robustos forever and ill be a happy man.
leftimatic Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 corona gorda is about the max. Just don't enjoy the bigger ring gauges at all.
stin187 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I don't really smoke anything above a 52RG. I do find myself reaching for the smaller RG lately though. Lonsdale and Corona are really my go to size but I also find myself reaching for Churchills if I have the time (watching a movie etc). I am just beginning to discover the magic of the Lancero as well.
ElAbogado Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Time seems to dictate my selections. My favorite size is probably the corona gorda, but they tend to take me 1:30-1:50 to smoke.... which is usually too long. Length seems to play a much larger role in how long it takes me to smoke something versus RG. I still keep boxes of Mag 46 and Punch Punch around, but most my purchases and regular smokes are minutos and robustos. I own at least one dress box of every minuto and every regular production robusto but the Connie 1. Minuto when I need something a little quicker (still 45-60 min... I'm a slow smoker) and robustos as my "longer smokes" (1:10-1:25). Overall I definitely prefer thinner RG to fatter. As a general rule I don't buy anything bigger than 52 rg or 54 if box pressed. Though I do enjoy an occasional Wide Churchill.
Fugu Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Length seems to play a much larger role in how long it takes me to smoke something versus RG. It is the determining parameter, absolutely. 1
