TypicalSituation Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I've been digging these lately, really enjoying the simplicity and straight forward flavor. Prelight Assessment Good looking cigar, a bit spongy, and a look at the foot shows this may be under filled a bit. Clipped with a v cutter, the draw is loose, with very little resistance. Dusty cedar and a bit of black tea Starts out a bit hot, and I realize I'll have to move at a slower pace. Admittedly a rough start (and surprisingly as the rest of the box has been stellar). Once it settles in, the first third is a straight shot of light milk chocolate, toasted tobacco and a touch of tea. The second third brings in a bit of a citrus zip along with the milk chocolate which is fading as the toasted tobacco pics up. The final third shows the way with more milk chocolate and toasted tobacco, along with a touch of roasted walnut. The smoke did get a bit hot at the end, and I didn't nub it like I have been with the rest of this box. Overall a pleasure to smoke. Straightforward, tasty and usually smooth to the nub. 4
