gcman68 Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 http://nypost.com/2015/07/04/new-yorkers-board-first-flight-to-cuba-in-over-50-years/ A few stories of regular people going back to see family etc. Growing up, having half my family still in Italy, I personally can't imagine not being able to go see where my parents grew up or having the aunt, uncle or lifelong friend come visit for what was a family celebration of food (cheese's handmade on the farm imported via suitcase), home made wine and often home made pasta. The funny part was I really never knew until I was older why, during the 2 hour period after dinner, the laughs got louder and louder. Looking back over the years, especially after hearing of someone passing, it was nice to be able to have met some people that were a part of my family's history. Glad to know at least for a few Cubans it's getting easier for them to be able to have some of the same experience.
