or been to ?

I'm going to Portugal next month for vacation, will be in Lisbon during Easter, then drive around the country and finally leaving from Porto later in the month. I googled for cigar stores in Portugal but nothing really useful came up, I'm wondering if any of the local residents on this forum can give me some help (primarily looking for REs, if there's still any left)

Are there lounges you can still smoke inside?

Totally would not mind if you can offer any non-cigar related tips as well. We will pass through quite a bit of places (Algarve, Monsaraz, Evora, Obidos, Coimbra, Duoro Valley), if you'll be nearby let me know we can definitely meet up for a smoke.

Also, any food item that I must try while in Portugal?

Cheers, thanks in advance!

Can't help you with cigar stores but southern Portugal is our favourite spot for vacations for more than 20 years, so I hope you will enjoy it.

The first post is from 2004 but not much has changed, except that now you have to smoke outdoors which is not a big problem due to the balmy climate.

Lisbon is a great city and Porto as well, quieter and more relaxed, I loved being there and get lost in the side streets trying out some of the best seafood.

Was in Lisbon about 2 years ago. One place I found was in this department store.

El Corte Inglés - Piso 0

Av. António Augusto Aguiar
1069-189 Lisbon - Portugal

Don't really remember if I seen more places than this or I was just searching for the regionals at the time and this was the only place I found to have them. What's funny is the guy checking us out was from Ft Lauderdale, Florida same place as me so we ended up having a conversation for awhile.

Thank you Nino once again for the travel advise. We didn't buy a single cigar in this trip (RE Portugal got delayed again) but we had a wonderful time especially in Algarve, followed your advise to see Monchique and watched the sunset at Cape St Vincent. We love the cataplana so much we bought the cataplana pan and will be making our own seafood stew in Canada in the future.
