CigarDarr111 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 So I just managed to get my hands on a couple boxes of 1966 along with 2 boxes of 52's any suggestions how long these guys need to be layed down for before they meet their fate?
cigarbreak Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I'm shooting for a minimum of 10 on my BHK52's maybe more.
raymond5737 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Have you seen a dramatic difference in the quality of your smokes, especially these two, in say 3 months, 6 months and 1 year? I know that you guys do it for a reason, but 10 years seems like a long time. I kept an Opus X "A" humidified for 10 years and it seemed to have lost all of it's bold flavors and it's punch... But that was a non Cuban. 2
SaintLuis Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I couldn't wait, and I was rewarded for my impatience. They're awesome after just a few months. It's not a very strong cigar, so I'd be wary of aging for too long, and over mellowing.
