I handpicked these and they represent high end PE/HQ. $235 USD $390 AUD A little like Behike in that I have to work hard to pick great boxes of these. It shouldn't be so but it is. The construction in these is spot on but what stands out is that the wrappers are a big step up on what is normally dished out. One of those cigars I wouldn't buy blind but when they are like this and at the price, they are a delight. 3

I try to avoid the lighter paper bark wrappers wherever possible. I have been on a Dip 2 run of late smoking 2-3 a week as they are smoking very well and this batch is a touch fuller than normal. The flavour profile I can only describe as Monte 2 meets Partagas P2. PSP HQ

I probably smoke more of it's larger brother the Montecristo Especial but they both share the same DNA. Class, mocha + plus a touch of cream. Smoke them as slow as possible to get the best out of them. 1

As many of you have noted they are starting to really come into their own. in my opinion another two years before they explode with that Por Larranaga caramel goodness. No surprise that will make them 5 years old and generally that is the start of the true PL evolution.

Generally they are "Good" but "Great" are head to find and in Choix Supreme I find it makes a big difference. There are a lot of yellow "ish" wrappers in Choix Supreme that can lend a grassy young taste. Put on a beautiful Colorado or Rosado wrapper and they are transformed with a rich flavour in a just under medium bodied format. I have generally found the Choix Supreme to be well constructed. These are exquisite.

Full flavoured, consistent and delicious. I prefer the darker manifestations over the lighter wrappers for these (not always the case in all cigars). HQ PE

Following on from my comments on the Bolivar corona Junior, this is actually a cigar that I prefer in a high quality Colorado wrapper. It lends itself to the blend.
