fabes Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Rafael González Coronas Extra MUE NOV 09Total time: 1:30 Nougat vanilla sweet smell. Slight floral like lavender or lemon. Construction spot on, but wrapper is a little grey and low on oils. 1 Subtle herbal spice on occasion. Creamy and floral. Meringue-like in the light feel of the smoke. 2 Woodiness peeking through. Like freshly milled lumber! Floral taking the backseat. The smell that comes off the cigar between puffs is extremely pleasant. 3 Following suit with the 2nd third. More herbal spice creeping back in. Then a return to the greatness of first third with a heavier mouthfeel. There is something I can’t really pinpoint about Rafael González. Closest I can explain is it’s like a light purplish blue. Like the last moments of a great sunset. Great smoke, may have to chase down a box! Thanks Rob for the contest! 4
