This is my first ever review, i normally only take notes if i get a note that is undeniable as my palate is far from developed. That being said i had a great time reading all the reviews; i wanna say thanks to all those who shared as they were all great reads, and especially interesting getting to see all the different styles of write ups. Likewise i also really enjoyed taking the time to fully concentetrate on this cigar. As this is my first review, i am merely noting what i think i tasted with some guidance from a flavour wheel so take it easy on me! Loll :) I personally would have loved to get creative with my prose but felt that since im not 100% sure if in understanding the notes, i didnt want to get all eloquent but be way off on the flavours loll so anyways :)

Paired with single malt glenfiddich 12 and a tall glass of water. Beautiful weather outside. Its around 8pm and i'm lighting up as the colours in the sky turn that gorgeous sunset purple and orange. Oh, and its a long weekend here in Ontario, Canada :)

Used my guillotine and single flame torch. Clipped a small piece off the foot, just a bit larger than a punch would do. That cut revealed a perfect draw for me. Fantastic. :)

Appearance - Beautiful silky wrapper, with minor blemishes (bit of a split in the wrapper near foot, slight fold in the wrapper, two straight veins on either side of one another; well and evenly packed with exception of one loose spot.

Aroma at cold - hint of manure, baryard, pungent sweet tobacco

Pre-light draw - Sweet tobacco, chocolate (honestly reminds me of just the cookie part from an oreo) and musty earth.

Lit Aroma - sweet cedar, bit of burnt sweetness

Light up draw - wood notes, maybe a cinnamon/nutmeg baking spice right away

1st third - dark wet wood notes, salty, can't identify further maybe bitter espresso...dark bitter chocolate...Smooth body, med full flavour, and a bit of bite on the retro giving me an anise/licorice type hints

2nd third - Getting sweeter on the dark burnt notes, dark notes turning in to a fruity type hint, cedar in and out, body getting fuller, pepper, nutty finish; sweet bread crust...amazing cigar so far...i absolutely love these A's;

3rd burnt sugars, dark nuttiness, burnt caramel; then getting a bit bitter making me have to take shallower draws; getting strong cedar and a bit acrid likely due to its youth, but ending nicely with bittersweet dark coffee and woody hints.

Thanks for taking the time to read! Would love some feedback to know if i came close to anyone ele's experiences.

Looks good and sounds good too. These are a nice smoke, look forward to seeing how they shape up in the coming years.

Thanks for the review!

I couldnt agree more on these being great smokes. I do see myself in the not too distant future getting another box and if my patience and will power (and cheapie smoke supply) holds well, i will definitely try to age some. I can only imagine what an smoking experience would be from an aged A :)

Thanks for the review!

I've already smoked a couple more than that and I've had great luck. Something I definitely plan on having around.

I still do like my Connie 1's tho.

Nice review and picture. Good to hear that so many have a great expierience with this cigar.

Not for me yet. Had 2, first one just harsh and bitter, second one just an ok smoke.

The fact that you had so much fun with it is all that counts as smoking is purely subjective.

Nice review, enjoyed reading it.

The Connie 1's are fantastic too, and the size of that cigar in hand feels just right. Wouldnt want to have to choose bewteen the two, but if i did it would come down to the amount of time i have to smoke lol

Thanks much appreciated. I have had some moments too of bitterness from what i've smoked but overall really enjoyed the overall cigar. Hope the next one you pick makes you forget about those last two lol :)

Had one of these over the weekend. Great burn, great draw, fantastic flavor profile. Couldn't be happier.
