Surprised that none of you Aussies have said anything yet about one of the most amazing Wimbledon matches I can remember - maybe you're still holding your breath?!

I really hope Nick Kyrgios fulfils the promise he showed in whipping Nadal yesterday - what a thrilling player to watch. I am really rooting for him to cruise past Raonic later today, although I might struggle to support him again if Federer makes the semis...

Oh, and if you haven't seen it, this:

... And he's a proud Canberra lad!

At 19, he shows promise. A little adjustments on his groundstrokes would serve him well though.

What happened to that other Aussie young kid whose father is a hothead? I saw one match when he told his father to leave the stands.

Tomic. Good player, but probably not destined for the very top, I feel. And his father is a bit of a nutter - I think he's banned from the grounds (rather than just courtside) at most of the big tournaments.

Looks like his brief day of glory is over as the Canadian (Go Canada!!!!), Raonic, beat him today in the quarters.

Raonic played a great match and definitely exposed Kyrgios's rougher edges. Still, he played with great heart although he appeared somewhat fatigued...

(By the by, the BBC commentary said that Raonic's coach has had him regulalrly serving in practice at 150mph - apparently he slows it down during matches in the 'interest of variety' surprised.gif)

Yah. I like Raonic. Definitely a top ten player. Big serve and ground strokes are improving. All around game. I think he got a new tattoo on his arm.

Two Canadians in the semis. Genie Bouchard and Milos Raonic! Hopefully they'll both go through but that is going to be a tall order. Nevertheless "Go Canada Go"!!
