I'm going to St. Louis for a seminar for 4 days next month. I've never been there before; are there any FOH members who are from there, or have spent time there? I need to get a hotel, so advice on that would be much appreciated, as would advice on places to eat, drink, smoke, etc.

And if anyone in St. Louis would be up to meet for a smoke, let me know.

I live about 1 1/2hrs from there and grew up on the Illinois side of the greater St. Louis Area.

While I can't make it down there in the next week, I can provide any intel you may need.

I would recommend looking at the "Hyatt at the Ballpark" or even the Drury Plaza Hotel at the Arch. Both are right in the middle of everything and nice hotels. You're going to want to hit Ballpark Village, and it is literally across the street from both.

I haven't been there for a smoke honestly, and can't think of any places off hand, but I'll look around.

For a cigar, go to Stanley's Cigar Bar on Washington street, many restaurants in walking distance and easy parking nearby

If you stay at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand you can walk to Stanley's (and back after a few libations party.gif )

Thanks for the help, guys. I've just been reading about Stanley's on their website. Looks like a fantastic place; I can't wait to check it out. One question for those of you who've been there: Do they have a policy about bringing your own cigars to smoke? Is it forbidden, or do they charge a fee, or what?

I have never had issues with taking my own cigars, but then I was buying my fair share of alcohol at Stanley's

That will certainly be my situation as well. And if not, it won't kill me to try a NC for a change. Thanks a lot; I'm looking forward to checking it out. I wish we had a place like that here in Cincinnati.

If you do buy one there don't let them clip it. I swear the guy took off half an inch!

I haven't been to St. Louis in quite awhile... Is the Union Station area still nice? I remember we had a good time there when we pass through.
