Arturo Fuente Rosado Sungrown Magnum 54

Just finished my first and probably only Fuente.

Quality build and burn but just way too mild for me. Almost tasteless. Very mild thin sweet smoke.

No problem chain smoking these things. No spice or depth. Just mild thin smoke.

Not for me.

you should smoke an opus x before you give up on Fuente completely

I have tried ~20 Opus X - some big, some small, some a year old and others 4-5 years and they almost all have been expensive disappointments - inconsistently constructed, major burn issues, uninspiring flavor, and far overpriced (thanks to Prometheus).

IMHO, I would recommend trying the Don Carlos and Anejo lines to see whether Fuente has anything for you. The Anejos need some time to age (~2-3 years or so) to really shine, while the DC are made with some tobacco that is already up to 10 years old or so and are typically ready to go.

For years I've heard people tout Fuente's consistency and for me, it's never really been there.

I used to smoke the AF Chateau Sungrowns religiously... ridiculously tasty cigar!

Try another one before you give up on them. I have to agree with wookiemofo that these are tasty cigars.
