this was the tag line for advertising a film from the late 60's. a film, mind you, directed at the more liberal/arts crowd. it was considered quite a good film and did reasonably well at the box office.

imagine someone trying it today!

"A motion picture for every man who ever gave the back of his hand to his beloved... and for every woman who deserved it. Which takes in a lot of people!"

the film was zeferilli's version of shakespeare's 'the taming of the shrew' with elizabeth taylor and richard burton.
