There was a rumor that Shoutbox was temporarily shuttered while the site goes through its upgrade.

However I have it on good authority that Shoutbox has been shut down permanently owing to flagrantly poor spelling, gross errors in common grammar, and a pervasive sophomoric 'wit' ('witlessness' might be a more appropriate designation I'm told). The editors of Strunk & White have said they will return the Shoutbox keys to Rob once we all learn our lesson and promise to behave. Apparently Ken is the lone holdout for compliance . . .

At least that's what I've heard . . .
