Ok all bit of an odd one to ask,

I have recently returned from an OS Holiday. I enjoyed the fabulous food in Croatia and Rome. I have never tasted better food in my life. Can any of our QLD members recommend a location for really brilliant Italian food.

I couldnt beleive the taste of the Pasta and Pizza in Croatia. And so cheap, only about 40KUNA ($10) for a decent meal.

Would love suggestions for places where I can experience this food in Brisbane.

Not too Shure in Brisbane.... Lucky's Tratoria at the top end of New Farm is always good for a cheap take away, but nothing beats Mario's at Broadbeach!!!

I've been going there for over 10 years and never had a bad meal.

it is not 'pasta and pizza' style of italian cuisine but there are two - in the traditional style of italian. in brizzy, romeo's at petrie terrace, but you want a night when romeo is in top form and then it can be brilliant. lunches often even better. variable but at its best, superb.

my pick as one of the top in the country is fellini's at main beach. brilliant. more modern than romeo's. top spot, top wine list - even have had a small area where i could smoke cigars but the laws will kybosh that. sydney members who know buon ricardo's might be interested that fellini's is run by carlo and tony, armando's brothers. likely to be booked solid until at least the new year.

I concur with Ken.

I have had the best and worst Italian at Romeo's....normally in the same night. It all depends how he is feeling. I do enjoy Cafe del Ugo in Brunswick St.
