Faire Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 the cigar I have was a gift from Don Carlos from his factory, which was a very nice gesture from him. I smoked it 2 or 3 days later. I must admit it: I didn't like it at all, it even made me sick. Other than that, the gentleman was very nice, I had a nice conversation with him. Oh the cigar he was smoking was a cigar from Ecuador, provided by some ecuatorian tourists who was at LCDH. He admited he was waiting for them to leave so he can stop smoking that s**t hahaha

I was there in October of last year and came back with a few boxes, about 40 mixed singles, and two humidors. One of the boxes I came back with was a box of Robaino Unico's that Carlos chose for me. When we were at the counter paying for our haul, Carlos autographed the top of the box of Unico's without my asking him to do so. I found that to be interesting. My wife and I took turns having our picture made with Carlos and I have always felt guilty that I left and didn't even think about tipping him for the pictures and autograph. I wonder if he would have been insulted by the gesture, but I suspect he would have welcomed it if offered.
