TM-US Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Putting up all of these Davidoff reviews, I sound like a Davidoff smoker. I am definitely not a Davidoff Smoker regularly, just happened to come out that way with these reviews. Start- very peppery red pepper flake on the front with a creamy finish. Very enjoyable, does not smoke like an aged, 5+ yr old cigar. Nice even burn, medium to light draw. Toasted tobacco notes with a strong, almost Nicaraguan note to the smoke. Middle third: still consistent burn, pepper has mellowed out. Toasted hazelnut notes, hint of almonds. Notes of buttered toast. Final third: this cigar is definitely a standout cigar, uncharacteristic of of a Davidoff. Consistently a medium full bodied cigar. Paired with Eldorado 21 yr rum. No noticeable build up of strength. Some notes of black coffee or espresso coming through now. Milk chocolate on the end of the tongue. Now strong dark chocolate flavors reminiscent of a young Montecristo Grand Edmundo. This cigar reminds me of a good Cuban blend in terms of complexity and flavor development. Low 90s in terms of the 0-100 scale. Getting very hot with less than an inch left. Very enjoyable cigar. There are very few left, but I think I will try to get some more when I can from my source.
laficion Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Much toooooooo overated Marca, No insult intended, but N-nuff with a name, He used to be 100% Cuban with taste, Now he's just a" seed "with no taste at all. like everyone else in the world of N.C.'s. Aside from that, Nice review mate.Bravo !!!!
