2013 Toronto MegaHerf III Charity Raffles - C&C & Premium Raffles, Rules and Details

Recommended Posts

Ladies and gents,

As we started to explain in the original RSVP thread at http://www.friendsof...howtopic=115002, we're having some charity cigar raffles again this year at the 2013 Toronto MegaHerf III. So, with some changes this year, here's what is going on....

Firstly, we will be doing similar as previous years. There will be both a Cheap & Cheerful cigar raffle, and a Premium cigar raffle. But there will also be additional prizes attached to both of these raffles.

These raffles will both be running from approx. 1pm, until right about 9:30pm or so (right after the Live Auction completes).

Again, all proceeds of the FOH Toronto MegaHerf III's auctions & raffles will be going to the Nicaraguan Children's Feeding Mission to help disadvantaged children, run by Rob Schildt / "Freefallguy", and we thank all those who purchase tickets or donate(d) items for this cause, especially our business / vendor sponsors.

So, the Raffle Rules are as attached below....

Rules for the Raffles:

  • Everyone who puts in a cigar to each individual raffle gets three (3) raffle tickets in return.
  • C&C cigars must have a minimum retail value of approx. $4 (Czar's valuation).
  • Premium cigars must have a minimum retail value of approx. $14 (Czar's valuation).
  • One cigar = three (3) raffle tickets.
  • It's easy - the red tickets and the red bucket is for the Premium cigar raffle, and the blue tickets and blue bucket is for the C&C cigar raffle.
  • To increase your chances, you can buy additional raffle tickets - for the C&C raffle, it will be 3 more tickets for $5, or an arm's length for $20 (that's 6 times the tickets for only 4 times the price); likewise, for the Premium raffle, it will be 3 more tickets for $10, or an arm's length for $40.
  • Additional tickets will be sold at the MegaHerf throughout the duration of the event by lovely ladies in waiting (Erin picked out her dress over two months ago, LOL).
  • Raffles are to be done and winners announced at approx. 10 pm.
  • The first ticket drawn will be the cigar winner for that raffle (C&C or Premium), and then there will be two runners-up drawn for additional prizes (as outlined below).
  • You must be present to claim your prize(s).
  • Raffles are for the benefit and enjoyment of those in attendance at the MegaHerf event itself.

Also, with these raffles, I mentioned additional prizes....

As I discussed in the auctions thread, we've had some excellent support from some various vendors and retailers (obviously including Czar's), but also with the following...

We have some awesome ashtrays from Stinky Cigar ashtrays. This is courtesy of both Marilyn Florez at Quality Importers (distributors of Stinky Cigar ashtrays, as well as other cigar-related products – visit them at www.qualityimporters.com), and from Stinky himself (www.stinkycigar.com) down in hot ol’ Las Vegas.

Additionally, from Mark Neff of www.Cigarmony.com and www.CigarSciences.com (a great BOTL here on FOH under the handle “n2advnture”), we have some of the medium size (4” x 2.64” x 1”) in his new Humidity Bead System humidifiers, in a 70% RH preset. (From the webpage at http://www.cigarmony...beadsystem.aspx).

For the two runners-up from each draw (the first ticket drawn is the cigar winner in each), we have an assortment of two Stinky Cigar ashtrays, and two HBS 70%RH humidifiers. The first runner up of each draw gets their choice of either a Stinky Cigar ashtray or a HBS humidifier, and then the remaining item will go to the second runner up for each draw.

Pictures of the actual ashtrays are shown below - a polished copper version, and a tall chocolate brown one, as well as Mark's HBS humidifiers.

Again, awesome support that we received for this event, and some great additional goodies for participants of the MegaHerf.

So....that's the raffles then!

Cheers all, and hope to see you at the event! cigar.gif
