Central Australia is a large sugar mill ( In Cuban Spanish = a Central ) located in a small village named Australia near Jagüey Grande where you turn off the motorway to access the Zapata peninsula and the Bay of Pigs. It has a railway museum which I visited a few years back and the Central Australia sugar mill is also famous for being the forward HQ of Fidel and Cuban troops fighting off the invasion of the Bay of Pigs ( In Cuba = Playa Giron ) in the early 60's.
