sengjc Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 I agree that it is quite unlikely white mold can develop as quickly as that overnight but I am not an expert. Also are those water stains in the left pic? Anyway, back to topic: I read that a good rub-down with some pharmaceutical grade alcohol, let air for a week and it should be good to go. I would suggest a clean cloth (old cotton tee shirt) that is reasonably soaked in the alcohol and remember to rub along the wood grain or you may get splinters forming at the surface.
