still, no better chance - two games at home, boyd, shillo, teo, hodges, harrison all playing with injuries. benny hannat out. teo under police investigation (any chance she was a blues plant?). thurston dependent on when his wife gives birth. refs doing all they can for the blues.

telegraph in sydney doing the reverse. they have a brilliant photo of a lone maroons supporter standing, fist raised in triumph, among a massive sea of blue. sensational.

we certainly saw the good and bad of super cooper last night.

he gets charged down more than any fly half i can remember and nneds to fix it. and his kicking game was pretty average for a bit. then got it together and saw the reds home. never dull. how he got through to score that try is beyond me. from my angle. we couldn't tell. very strange game. but at the pointy end of the season, when it counted, he got us home. o'connor didn't (i would be so much happier watching o'connor run off cooper). won't make any difference to the braindead, hopeless kiwi joke of a coach that we have inflicted upon ourselves.

sad to see higgers injured.

i had a flash this morning - and it was nsw lifting the origin shield. i'm getting a bad feeling. i think that even more than most years, whoever wins the first one on wednesday will win the series.
