Phoenix, Arizona

If anyone resides in or will be passing through the Phoenix/Metro area here in Arizona there are two places to check out that I frequent:

Magnum's Cigar's

731 E Union Hills Dr

Ste B10

Phoenix, AZ 85024

Magnum's is a great lounge stocked with full bar and walk in humidor with a great selection for novice smokers and aficionados alike. The lounge is aestheticly pleasing with mahogany interior and leather sofas and tables to relax, smoke, drink and watch a game or talk with other BOTL's. Great intimate location with a great open lounge area and some private seating too.

Ambassador Cigars

4912 E. Shea Blvd. #108

Scottsdale, AZ 85254

With the lounge in the back, at first walk in you are greeted by the owner (who is always sporting a suit, tie and equipped with cigar in hand) who offers an introduction, handshake then a tour of "the largest humidor in Arizona". He's proud to note that he is an approved, licensed distributor of Davidoff and that he has blended his own cigar (which is offered in a medium blend and another in full-bodied blend), the Vartan~ these cigars are surprisingly good with variations in flavor profile from cedar, leather to a hint of hazelnut that finishes with a solid peppery taste. The lounge in the back is a member only lounge but is a very comfortable, light environment to enjoy cigars, good company and some laughs. If you're not a member, never fear, in the front of the store there is an array of leather chairs with end tables to enjoy your purchase and talk with the owner and other aficionados that frequent the Ambassador.

So next time you're in Phoenix and you want to enjoy a nice evening with some BOTL in a comfortable atmosphere don't be shy to enter any one of the two establishments.

(I'm looking into another lounge for those in the North valley (Cave Creek/old town Carefree)that looks to be another great spot: I'll research and get back to you all)

Have a great weekend everyone!
