Phillys Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Hmm, will try next time I get a plugged stick. Back to the topic, I have only had 1 box of CoRos but have not found one plugged stick yet. Keeping my fingers crossed but they all seem perfect.
Colt45 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Where is that posted, I can't seem to find that trick Link
Orion21 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I have had the odd plugged cigar with older production. I can't remember my last plugged cigar with 2008 or new cigars. Sadly my worst run was some Bolivar Inmensos from 1998. All had those knots at the head and have been VERY tight to smoke. A good massage has worked most times, but next time I'm going to try Lisa's method with the wood spear. My worst plugged cigar was a 2000-2001 Partagas Lusi. It was so bad I had to open her up. I found 8 or 9 leaves not including the wrapper. There was so much tobacco not even a Hoover could have smoked that puppy.
CigarB Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Ayala's freezer tip has worked wonders inmy tighter smokes. X2 - put it in the fridge for 90 minutes and it really helps
Jeremy Festa Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 X2 - put it in the fridge for 90 minutes and it really helps Interesting, must remember to give it a whirl the next time round.
Guest rob Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I use the freezer for 15 mins. In fact, did so last night - I clipped the cap and the tested draw was overly firm (this was a monte 4 from 1999). Popped into freezer for 15 mins and it was then a whole lot better. Only had to relight once, and that was when I was nearly done.
