When flying with a 40 ct herf, how do you use the open, close, purge function with the little knob. Never used one during a flight.

I keep mine closed during flight, then open it once I land / get to my destination. Works well =)

Haha. That's great advise! I should have known better. But seriously is there any importance to using the purge, open, close knob?

I was referring to the open/close knob. Keep it closed tight during flight, then open the knob (mine unscrews) when you land or get to your hotel/destination. It releases the pressure inside the box and allows for easy opening.
