Might take the family to the Bahamas for a few days in the near future.

Wanted to get some suggestions on the following

Where to eat?

Where to buy booze?

What attractions should we go see that are children (12 and 2 years old) friendly?

Places to buy cigars

TIA for everyone's suggestions

With kids, you wanna stay on Paradise Island, tons of water activities. For the budget minded, check out the Best Western and buy the passes for Atlantis water activities, else stay at the Atlantis Resort.

Booze at the local store on the Island all walkable

Cigars at Atlantis, pricey 200% tax. Adam is the manager.

Try some local flare in downtown Bay Street , just don't buy cigars though all fakes

let me know any other specifics

Everywhere...as there are generally no smoking laws, only tourist complain. You can smoke just about anywhere, plus most places will accomodate paying customers. In Atlantis, there's a cigar shop Havana Humidor, casinos, outdoor resturants, etc. Check out Greycliff and the cigar rolling process, Garzaroli family, check out the wine list there.

Went there YEARS back on a cruise ship stopover while on vacation with my family. Visited the main city on the main island (Nassau?), and remember visiting the old colonial fort there - that was VERY cool, and a lovely and historic city. I was only 14 or 15 at the time, but I remember thinking it was just the coolest thing, with the history of it.

Also, did snorkelling and scuba diving at Paradise Cay, before it got all commercial, as I see it is now. But still, that might be something to go for.

Cheers, and enjoy your time there with the familia!

Other local places, don't have all of my thoughts in one post, sorry. Must go to Fish Fry, it's a collection of local eateries, try a Conch salad, part of our national dish. Skans for breakfast(Bay Street), Poop Deck, local drink called Sky Juice.

Havana Humidor just robbed me for $375.00 for 11 cigars. I had no choice because I didn't have any at home that were ready to smoke.

Atlantis Paradise island. I have two kids 9 and 5. I go 4 times per year. Your kids will never be bored.

Kids club at night for them and you can gamble/sports book. CC are very expensive. Bring your own. Tons of water fun. Swim with Dolphins.

Going to Atlantis next week to meet my brother and his kids. Been there a few times in the past and always remember paying crazy prices for a single cigar. A few years back there were a ton of cigar bars or at least most restaurants you could smoke in and they sold CC's. But I remember Monte 2's going for 40 bucks a piece.

Will be bring my own sticks on this trip. Plus as noted outside of the place in Atlantis (which prices are insane), there are a ton of fakes. Never saw so many boxes of CC's in boxes that had a cheap glass top lol.

Off topic. Bring lots of sunscreen. Im here now and I'm pretty tan naturally. 2 hours in the sun and I'm cooked. Can't go near the sun today.
