Rushman Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 A really good friend of my wife and his family came through Cancun/Playa today as they left Cuba bound for the states. I'd bet some of you know this guy. I won't put his name here but up until a few years ago he worked at one of the LCDH's for a number of years. When my wife was buying 150-200 boxes a month he and another well known guy at the same casa were her go-to peeps at that location. After nearly a year of planning and over 6 months since his wife had to quit work and daughter had to quit school in order to get permission to leave, they left Havana today and by Thursday should be crossing the border. They have pretty much got nothing but some clothes and enough money to get them to their final destination in the states. It was great to meet them finally and it was nice to chat with them about their reasons for leaving and the plans for their future. It was fitting that today is Christmas!
