My family is taking a trip in April and are looking at the Villa la Estancia Nuevo Vallarta. It's an All-Inclusive which appeals to us because we have 8 kids under the age of 12 coming with our group.

Anyone ever been here?

Suggestions welcome but keep in mind we do have 8 children and an all inclusive might be ideal.

Hi Patick,

Have been to PV a number of times and really like it. Check out reviews on Trip Advisor. This is a good way of getting a feel for a place. But take them with a grain. Most people who do online reviews either love it or hate it. Nuevo Vallarta is all pretty nice. It is a decent distance from the "old town", "romantic zone" area which we love. We are thinking about heading there late Jan early Feb.

I would avoid Nuevo Vallarta - you're just too far away from everything. I stayed at Sunset Plaza in August and it was awesome for kids. I have two young kids myself. Really good food and big, beautiful rooms (with large decks for smoking stogies!)

We have stayed at the Villa Premiere adn did the all inclusive. If you stay in town you dont need all inclusive. There are many good restaurants I believe they have an age limit of 15. We have also rented a condo two different occasions. We have also stayed at the Westin a few year back. I think it has changed since then. I was looking at the Gran Velas for this year for something different. Gran Velas in Playa del carmen is a very nice hotel. We really enjoy PV because there is alot to do. Great restaurants, shopping. The weather is perfect in Dec & Jan.

We did the all-inclusive package with Barcelo la Jolla Mismaloya in 2010. The food was mediocre, but the rooms, the view, and the pool were all great. It was about a 20-minute bus ride into town, so we ended up doing that almost every day we were there.

Our favorite restaurant there BY FAR was the Agave Grill. It's right around the corner from the LCDH. Check it out. I think we ate there 3 or 4 times during our 1-week stay. The owner was super friendly and got to know us pretty well because we were there so much.

Have fun and safe travels.
