A similar ban has been in play in Turkey for a couple of years now. You can't smoke in closed/confined public places. Although we still don't have plain packaging type of rules, the government is trying to extend the smoking ban to private residences.

The Lebanese government is weak. What does Hezbollah have to say about the ban?
