Will be in Boston in about 10 days for a VERY short visit. However, I will have a couple of hours before my plane leaves. My question; any decent cigar shops around Newbury Street? Any recommendations?

Cigar Masters is a lounge on Boylston St - parallel to Newbury. Also fairly close is LJ Peretti, a shop on the corner of Charles and Boylston.

Unless things have changed, Gloucester Street Cigar is closed. If you're up for an easy walk, you could go to Churchills on North Street next to

Quincy market, and a short distance from there, Stanza dei Sigari on Hanover Street in the North End - Churchills and Stanza are lounges.

Have fun :)

Yes , especially for Newbury/Boylston Street area. If you are staying close to Logan, then Santaza in North end (Best place for watching the lovely ladies) and Churchills are more convienent. Both 5 Min Cab ride to Airport... Cigar Masters and Stanza have a $10 lighting/cut fee should you bring your own stick.. I dont think Churchills does... Stanza is in a basement and I aways struggle with thier ventalation. Anyway, for the amount time you have all of the above will work just fine.

Churchills doesn't have a cutting fee, and their bar prices are reasonable but their humidor is atrocious. Always bring your own.

Cigar Masters has a cutting fee, and their server staff are hired based on their ability to look good in a little black dress. Their humidor selection is solid for NC stock. They almost always have very top shelf product from Davidoff and Padron.

Stagni has a mediocre selection, and a cutting fee, and it is kind of a pain to get to.

Stick with something close to the Boston Public Gardens which would be Peretti's or Cigar Masters. Perettis doesn't always showcase what he has. Ask him if he's got anything special that's not on display. Nice walk through the public gardens to find a bench and take in Boston would be my choice. North End is nice but a good walk/ride from the back bay. Enjoy

Again, yup. Dead accurate, though I've never had an issue with a cutting fee at Stanza. Definitely a pain to get to but if Mark is hosting you, you'll be alright.
