This should go without saying, Rob's recommendations has time and time again been exceptional, and mind-blowing.

Visiting Hong Kong last summer Rob recommended the Cohiba Divan at the Mandarin Oriental, which has one of the best cigars in terms of quality.

This summer Rob recommended the Red Chamber, newly renovated, it has now became my favourite place to spend my afternoon.

This is a Old Shanghai themed cigar lounge, indoors, great ventilation and atmosphere.

I cannot describe how serene this place could be. In the heart of the financial district, this place is an oasis.

Every piece of furniture, lamp, painting, ashtray could be appreciated differently every encounter.

I could not agree more with Rob, I could not recommend this place enough.

The Manager, Terrence, is knowledgeable and very friendly, even to a youngster like myself; service is impeccable.

The Cigar I had was a 06' D4. It was a light bodied (maybe due to the ageing) with a refined taste. Also very filling.

Those of you who are visiting Hong Kong, this place is quite close to the Airport Express station, quite convenient.

this indeed looks quite cosy,

do you have photo's of their humidor?

I hope that a "cohiba divan" bar has one?

This is a favorite of mine too...gorgeous, mood-setting atmosphere, comfortable space with very good ventilation. Service is impeccable and their walk-in humidor has a very, very nice selection. I'm happy to hear you like it.

Awesome thanks for the write up, I'll check it out in November. Any other places worth visiting?

many of the divans in HK are good. You can also try the Pacific Cigar Divan which is not very far away from the Red Chamber. Probably 2 blocks max? Also around the corner is the one in Mandarin Oriental. If you are off to Macau, go to the Macallan Whisky Bar and you will find a nice Davidoff shop adjacent to it. Of course, smoking is permitted in that very nice bar.

Same ownership as the Cohiba Divan, no? Or am I confusing it with another place?

Awesome place in any case. Had my first HC7 there on my honeymoon in '06.

Same ownership (PCC)

What I liked about the new "Red Chamber" was that I felt at home. It is comfortable and unpretentious. Had a lovely afternoon there with Dag when last in HK a few months back.
