nikesupremedunk
I don't think it matters so much as to which vitola is the best...wind sucks no matter what. I really really hate the wind when I'm smoking...it really takes the pleasure out of the experience. There's no outdoor place you can smoke that has like a roof and some walls to protect you? Duane
i find the slightest constant breeze effects any vitola, do you have an shed to hide in to enjoy the leaf? or time to get building to make that man cave.
LGC
I hate to say it, but I find no cigar will perform well in very windy conditions for my tastes. The burn can sometimes be erratic. It is also difficult to enjoy the aromas of the cigar. Your best bet may be to set up a small tent to block the wind
Vcool
So... since there is only (what seems like) a week of summer here, and many of the otherwise beautiful days are breezy or downright windy (and smoking indoors is not in the cards), I was looking for some input from my BOTL and SOTL regarding what size of cigars are best to smoke in brezy or windy weather, with a minimum of touching up. Does such a beast exist? Is there some trick to windy cigar smoking?
Pilgrims
no tricks but I recon that party Shorts are about as good a size as you'll get, not too long and not to wide or too thin for the wind
Vcool
I live in a condo with a wall-less balcony that is pretty out in the open. I'll have to figure something out.
LGC
You could always put up temporary structures with some outdoor blinds. That would probably help quite a bit
nikesupremedunk
Also, might not be the most "scenic" place, but maybe you can find some indoor parking lots or something of that sort to smoke in. I sometimes go to my college parking lot when it's quieter at night.
