Trimble Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 St. Louis ... Decorated. Consistent. All around great ball club.
smpf67 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 My perennial losers from my area, The Chicago Cubs. You will fall in love with them!
noreaster Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I'm a mad Blue Jays fan, but it's painful cheering for them with all the damn injuries. All I can say is don't bother with the Red Sux or Yankmees. Cheer for a team that doesn't attempt to buy it's way to a championship. [/quwote] maybe if you lived in a city that cared about baseball and, as a whole went to the games and supported the team as they do in NY,or Boston, the Jays would have $ to spend....
Hugomarink Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I can't believe nobody has said it but SF GIANTS!!! One of the great "old" franchises in the game playing in one of the most beautiful stadiums in all of MLB. And they have the best pitching staff in the game! Matt Cain threw a perfect game earlier this month, and their pitching staff is going lights out and their "best" pitcher (Tim Lincecum) still hasn't found his mojo just yet (well, it looks like he's starting to pull it together after his last two starts). Plus they just shut out the first place Dodgers three games in a row (that means the Dodgers did not score a single run in their three game series that ended today) to tie them for first place in the NL West. Do not overlook the SF Giants!
Hugomarink Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 And Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner pitched a one-hit shutout tonight against the Reds to make it four straight shutouts for the Giants, which is a franchise record. You won't find better pitching anywhere than in SF, and they actually have a few hitters as well this year. Check it out!
KurtE Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 Gone with Cards. A 5-3 record since I started with them. Hard to know whether I'm good or bad luck
DrunkenMonkey Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Terrible move. Everyone in Cincinnati knows that the Cardinals are nothing but a bunch of whiny *******. Case in point: Tony LaRussa doesn't think that Johnny Cueto or Brandon Phillips belong on his All-Star roster?? Seriously? I think old Tony is still pissed about the Reds spanking his pathetic ass in 1990 in 4 games. There's still time to reconsider. Cincinnati Reds! You can thank me in October.
KurtE Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 It's final, once I pick a team I don't change. He's no longer than manager of the Cards I thought from the way the commentators talk in telecasts
DrunkenMonkey Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 It's final, once I pick a team I don't change. He's no longer than manager of the Cards I thought from the way the commentators talk in telecasts Correct. Still a bunch of whiny ******* though. Good luck
KurtE Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 Correct. Still a bunch of whiny ******* though. Good luck I saw on ESPN that La Russa has angered the Reds and Brewers. It's only all-star after all. Doesn't mean that much I thought And thanks
Trimble Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 It's final, once I pick a team I don't change. Wise choice ... You won't regret it!
