cckandb24 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 This completion has motivated me to try a bunch of new sticks that I have yet to experience. Tonight after my MDO 1 I figured I would hit something with a little more bite and smoke the Ramon Allones Small Club Corona. I want to love RA so much but the Extra and RASS have been total let downs. Let see what this little guy has to offer. Cigar is spongy with a rustic Colorado wrapper. Cut revels an open draw with little to no resistance. Aroma at cold... Barnyard First half This little fella opens with sweet curry spices that tingle all parts of my tounge. I have always wondered what stewed fruit taste like but I think I am getting some rich fruitiness. Copious amounts of smoke with a sharp burn line. Long finish with what I can describe as a peanut butter taste. Thick and chewy. Last half Strong and rich earthiness and leather make their way to the fore front with the spices still lingering on the lips and tip of the tongue. Had to touch up at this point when the top half of the cigar went flame retardant. Copious amounts of smoke and a nicotine buzz kicking in(which I never get). Time to put this thing to sleep. Coming from the NC world to CC I just don't enjoy the strong smokes that once uses to rule my rotation. I am enjoying much lighter bodies cigars these days. Score 90
maverickdrinker Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Niche review. Love the RASCC. A nice little flavourful, full bodied smoke.
Styler Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I wish you got these in 50 cabs, amazing complexity for it's size.
isa Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Nice review , thanks - somewhere down the line, i want to try these
Habanakane21 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I used to love SmallClub(s). They use to be full of flavor and the size was just right for that short smoke. But lately I believe the SmallClub(s) have been lacking flavor that they use to hsbe. SmallClub(s) have been a big dud. Also they've become too short for me days. Maybe they'll come around. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
