Starting in June I'm going to be working a 12 day on 7 day off shift and I'm hoping to bring a few smokes with me. I've been thinking about getting a travel humidor (like a cigar caddy) but I need to be able to properly store them for about 12 days. Is a travel humidor sufficient? I only need to bring 3 - 5 stogies each time. Its a dry worksite, too so that means no booze. :o Yikes. I gotta have some Cubans there with me or it it's gonna get real ugly real fast. :devil2:

The travel humidor is fine, will keep your cigars good for more than 12 days. I got a couple small humidity sheets to have in mine.

I also have a 10 count cigar caddy that I take with me when on vacation. It's great. I throw a drymistat humidity tube in it and it's good to go for 2 weeks no problem.

For such a short period of time, I'd strongly recommend against adding any kind of humidity to the caddy. If there is any temperature changes you can have issues... A better choise would be to put your cigars in ziplock bags in the caddy. The cigars won't dry out that quickly. I'd be more concerned with keeping the caddy in a temperature controlled environment (ie not in your car)...
